Mariposa grove in Wikipedia

This grove is located in the Yosemite Park only 2 miles from the south entrance
while Yosemite Valley - in 35 miles. It is subdivided in two parts: lower at 5,500 ft.
where you can drive and park, and upper at 6,500 ft.; paved road for service cars leads
there as well as many trails. Walktime is 4 hours. There are no so compact (6 miles) locations
of giants in Giant Sequoia park, while the largest, thickest are there. We visited
the Grove in may 2005 and in 2009. There was a strong wildfire between our visits,
the result is at one of the pictures. As usual the most well-known trees have their own names.
