California trees
The "MOST - MOST" trees grow in California
the largest(by weight) - Giant Sequoias, live up to 3,500 years
most long live -ristlecone pines, live up to 5,000 years
an the highest - Redwood live up to 2,000 years
Giant Sequoias grow in California at several National Parks:
Giant sequoia - Kings Canyon, which go from one to another
an also in Yosemite Natl Park. All these parks are within 3-4 hours
driving from us at Sierra Nevada mountains, so that we were there many
times, in summer and winter. Bristlecone pines grow in hard to get to
places at White Mountains on the east. But Redwood is widely common on the coast
north of Monterey. One of the forests north of San Francisco was turned to the park
for tourists and called by wel known California naturalist John Muir.
